Site Engineer(Interior Design/Fit out)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Site Engineer to oversee and manage all on-site technical and engineering aspects of our high-end interior design and fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will be the key link between the project management office, design team, subcontractors, and the client on site. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency, strictly adhering to design specifications, timelines, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Management & Supervision:
• Lead daily site operations, supervising all fit-out activities including carpentry, joinery, MEP (rough-ins & fixtures), ceilings, partitions, flooring, and finishes.
• Ensure all work is carried out in strict compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality control, and safety compliance.
• Technical Execution:
• Study and understand all architectural, interior, and MEP drawings.
• Resolve technical issues on-site, liaising with the design team and consultants for timely solutions.
• Oversee material deliveries, storage, and handling to prevent damage and ensure proper usage.
• Manage site surveys, as-built drawings, and snagging/punch list processes.
• Planning & Coordination:
• Assist the Project Manager in developing detailed project schedules and resource plans.
• Coordinate effectively with main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives.
• Conduct daily/weekly toolbox talks and ensure all subcontractors are briefed on project requirements.
• Quality & Safety Compliance:
• Enforce the highest standards of workmanship and finish quality.
• Implement and monitor all company and local authority Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations on site.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized site at all times.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records: daily logs, inspection reports, material requests, and progress photos.
• Prepare weekly progress reports for the Project Manager.
• Monitor manpower and equipment on site.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Site Engineer/Supervisor specifically within the interior design and fit-out industry in the GCC.
• Licensing & Transport: Must hold a valid local driving license and have own car for daily travel between sites, supplier visits, and company meetings.
• Availability: Candidates who can join immediately are strongly preferred.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of fit-out materials, interior construction methodologies, local codes, and permit procedures in the GCC.
• Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Project/Excel, and other project management software.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings.
• Financially aware with a focus on cost control and waste reduction.
• Fluency in English (Arabic language is a significant advantage).
