Site Incharge – Civil Work Department

A reputed Meghalaya-based Manufacturing Company is looking for a Site Incharge – Civil Work Department for its units based in Byrnihat, Meghalaya

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee construction works including Factory drains, Retaining walls, Building column foundations, Residential quarters, Labour quarters, Warehouses, offices, and ancillary facilities, Electrical substation foundations, Interior works, etc.
• Supervise ongoing civil maintenance works and structural repairs.
• Estimate material, labor, and cost requirements for new projects or maintenance.
• Supervise subcontractors and validate their invoices.
• Measure, check, and verify all executed works for accurate contractor billing and maintain proper measurement sheets and records.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor quality, progress, and safety standards.
• Identify site issues and report them to management on time with recommended solutions.
• Coordinate with other departments (mechanical, electrical, production) to support infrastructure needs.
• Ensure the site facilities comply with safety regulations, including local fire codes and other statutory requirements.
• Conduct periodic audits of existing structures and recommend upgrades.
• Maintain accurate records of construction activities, maintenance schedules, material usage, and project progress, and submit daily and monthly reports to management.
• Maintain and monitor daily labour attendance records, verify manpower deployment, and report any shortages or irregularities to management.

Requirements:

• Diploma/JE in Civil Engineering, ITI, or B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5–8 years of supervisory experience, preferably in interior works, concrete works, or heavy civil construction.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Firm “Safety First” mindset, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and legal standards.
• Must have basic knowledge of AutoCAD for reviewing drawings and measurements.
• Must own a two-wheeler and a WhatsApp-enabled mobile phone.

Location: Factory Campus, Byrnihat, Meghalaya

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: 25,000-40,000/- month, depending on Capability & Experience
