Mission and Role

The Site Manager is responsible for managing the construction of one or more sites. He/She sets up and monitors the overall organization of the sites in conjunction with the Site supervisors. He/She must comply with all the safety, quality and technical regulations and standards in force. He/She is also responsible for ensuring that the works progress smoothly in compliance with costs, deadlines and resources. He/She reports to the Head of Regional Site Teams (regularly) and reports functionally to the Operation Manager of the GCP Ops Site Works department. He/She is responsible for site record management and provides feedback at site closure.

Your Role - Magic happens when you bring great people together!

  • Schedule drafting and monitoring supervision: ensure compliance with the project schedule; supervise the drafting and monitoring of site schedules in conjunction with the Site Works Coordinator, if required.
  • Budget management: validate objectives, costs, deadlines, and resources with the Project Manager; organize the site within the budget; identify opportunities to reduce expenditure; track and explain discrepancies; keep NCR monitoring and the opportunity & claim folder up to date.
  • Project preparation: prepare the project before work starts with various departments and the Project Manager; design review, contract kickoff meetings, staff mobilization; prepare the budget quote; define assembly methodologies; pass work plan to Site Supervisors; set up organizational structure and offices on site.
  • Project / site management: comply with site organizational requirements; manage the project with Site supervisors in accordance with job specs, contractual terms, QA/QC, HSE, and operating procedures; accept and store equipment on site.
  • Quality and compliance: ensure site organization and procedures comply with current laws and local regulations; rely on HSE manager on each site; provide technical support to Site Works Coordinator; set up a site quality plan; monitor customer products and ensure quality per project procedures; maintain monitoring, tests, and commissioning equipment.
  • As-built documentation: ensure operators and subcontractors update drawings and finalize "AS BUILT" documents with the Design Office at project closure.
  • Reporting: with the Site Works Coordinator, prepare monthly status reports, progress reports, meeting minutes, and various incident and equipment reports for Project Manager and department review.
  • End of project: prepare end-of-project assessment items and ensure all annotated documents and drawings are centralized and approved before submission.
  • HSE and safety: apply health and safety requirements on site; allocate appropriate resources and skills; implement and update site safety plans and risk assessments; manage safety inspections, action plans, and KPI monitoring; address safety incidents promptly.
  • Authority: assume overall responsibility for EHS on sites under your remit; comply with Schneider Electric values and instructions on site.
Qualifications

Education: 1 Baccalaureate + 2 years of Electrical Engineering qualification. Language: English fluent (C1); other languages a plus.

  • Experience: 10 years minimum as a Site Supervisor / Commissioning Supervisor; demonstrated experience with Schneider Equipment for MV (Premset, MCSET, PIX), Protection Relays (SEPAM, Micom, Easergy), UPS APC Symmetra, and LV distribution panels (Blokset, Okken, Prisma) is advantageous.
  • Skills: team management; flexibility, reliability, attention to technical details, customer focus; strong written and verbal communication on technical topics.
  • Software: MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD, Outlook, testing device software; Omicron; protection relays setting software; knowledge of MV/LV equipment, power stations, high voltage substations and electrical networks.
