Site Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, review, and approve HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, and other mechanical systems.
• Prepare and evaluate technical drawings, specifications, and material submittals.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and supervise installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure all mechanical systems comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Prepare BOQ, cost estimates, and assist in procurement activities.
• Support project planning and progress reporting related to mechanical works.
• Identify and resolve design and construction issues in coordination with the project team.
• Review shop drawings and as-built documentation.
• Participate in value engineering and energy efficiency improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–7 years of experience in building construction or MEP projects (depending on seniority).
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire fighting systems.
• Familiar with international standards such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and local authority regulations (e.g., Dubai Civil Defence, DEWA, DM).
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), and other relevant design software.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in high-rise buildings, commercial complexes, or large-scale MEP projects.
