The Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant work environment at a U.S. Army contractor site focused on equipment turn-in, retrograde, and property disposal operations. This role ensures adherence to OSHA, DoD, and Army safety standards and actively promotes a culture of safety among all site personnel and subcontractors.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
Experience: 3+ years of safety experience on government, military, or industrial logistics sites.
Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910, EM 385-1-1, DA PAM 385-10, and Army site safety practices.
Experience supporting military logistics, equipment turn-in, retrograde, or base closure operations is highly preferred.
Excellent communication, documentation, and conflict-resolution skills.
Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour (General Industry or Construction) required; CSP, CHST, or similar preferred.
Forklift and HAZMAT handling certification a plus.
Familiarity with Army safety systems, procedures, and reporting (e.g., mishap reporting to the COR).
Former military or DoD contractor experience strongly preferred.
