Role Overview
The Site Services Technician is responsible for supporting day-to-day lab operations, device lifecycle management, and infrastructure support. This role ensures high service quality, operational efficiency, and compliance with established processes and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute rack-level deployments, decommissions, and hardware installations (servers, networking, lab equipment)
- Manage asset lifecycle activities including intake, imaging, validation, tracking, and retirement
- Maintain CMDB/data accuracy and support audit/compliance requirements
- Perform troubleshooting and break-fix activities for lab infrastructure and devices
- Support customer requests, service engagements, and lab readiness activities
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for project delivery
- Ensure adherence to safety, security, and operational procedures (OHS, PPE, site policies)
- Contribute to process improvements, runbooks, and standardization efforts
- Assist in data validation, reporting, and operational dashboards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of data center/lab operations and hardware handling
- Experience with asset management tools (ServiceNow, CMDB or equivalent)
- Basic networking and server hardware knowledge
- Ability to follow SOPs and maintain high data accuracy
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with safety and compliance practices in lab/data center environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large-scale deployments or migration projects
- Exposure to automation/tools (Power BI, Kusto, scripting, AI-driven improvements)
- Prior experience in Microsoft DataCenters/Labs or similar environments
Pay: $4,000.00 per month
