Skilled Laborer / Carpenter

Job Summary

We are a growing General Contracting Company specializing in residential remodels. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction and carpentry, with hands-on experience in various trades. This role requires a commitment to quality workmanship, (non negotiable) attention to detail, (non negotiable) and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.(also non negotiable) The position will be responsible for assisting with a variety of construction tasks, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to high standards. Must have valid drivers license. Oppurtunities for use of Company truck for responsible candidate with clean driving record after probationary period. AGAIN, Must have valid license, own reliable transportation to get to and from shop, NO 1099 subcontractors or independent contractors. This is a W2 employee position only.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the construction and remodeling of residential properties.
• Perform tasks such as trim carpentry, frame carpentry, and cabinet installation.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Read blueprints and schematics to execute projects accurately.
• Engage in concrete forming, plastering, and rebar installation as needed.
• Participate in siding, flooring installation, and demo projects.
• Conduct water damage restoration and mold remediation tasks.
• Support the fabrication of structures and fixtures including door hanging and caulking.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites At all times.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.
• Treat all clients and co workers with mutual respect

Skills

• Proficiency in construction blueprint reading.
• Experience with various carpentry techniques including trim work, frame carpentry, and cabinet installation.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety protocols on construction sites.
• Knowledge of cabinet installation, base and case, door installs, siding, flooring installation, caulking, assembly processes, and restoration techniques.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by job duties.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on quality craftsmanship.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
