JOB SUMMARY
This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus, subject to meeting program requirements.
The Skilled Laborer (CDL) position is based out of our Denver office and supports daily operations by assisting superintendents, equipment operators, and welders with a range of tasks on construction sites.
Responsibilities include operating dump trucks, handling and transporting materials, trenching, pipe handling, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. This role requires a valid Class A CDL, the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions, along with a strong commitment to safety protocols and teamwork.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive dump trucks and other vehicles to transport and unload materials such as sand, gravel, asphalt, and other construction materials
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Load and unload materials and equipment
- Move construction materials around job sites
- Serve as swamper/spotter, assisting operators with safe maneuvering of equipment
- Space pipe segments accurately to prepare for welding or installation
- Coat welded joints with protective material to prevent corrosion
- Assist with lowering-in of pipe into trenches using proper rigging techniques
- Perform trenching activities as needed to support pipeline installation
- Execute backfill operations to restore trenches after pipe placement
- Identify and report work hazards to maintain a safe job site
- Maintain a clean and organized work site to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow oral and written instructions from supervisors and project leads
- Promote and adhere to company safety protocols and regulations
- Support and exemplify the company’s mission and values in all interactions
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and project success
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid CDL (Class A)
- Experience in the oil and gas and/or utility construction industry preferred
- Ability to work in inclement weather
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as project requires
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Must be able to tolerate frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching throughout the workday
- Capability to push, pull, grasp, and reach with hands and arms
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Must be able to wear and operate the required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as hard hats, safety glasses, and gloves

The expected compensation range is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final compensation is based on factors such as education, experience, and other qualifications
