Slimeologist / Sales Associate

This position focuses on the customer experience and in-store activities.

Job Summary

The Slimeologist is the heart of our shop, providing an exceptional and engaging experience for all customers. This role involves assisting customers in creating or choosing the perfect slime, demonstrating products, and helping to maintain a creative and exciting retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and interact with customers, sharing a passion for slime and the creative process.
• Provide demonstrations and teach customers the best techniques for playing with and customizing slime.
• Help customers select and purchase the right slime, add-ins, and supplies for their needs.
• Restock shelves, organize products, and ensure the shop floor is clean, inviting, and visually appealing.
• Lead and assist with hands-on workshops and special events, such as birthday parties.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and handle transactions accurately.
• Assist with packaging online orders and in-store pickups.
• Contribute to social media content creation, such as photos and short videos of products.

Qualifications

• A positive, energetic, and creative personality.
• Experience in retail, customer service, or a similar customer-facing role is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with children and families.
• Basic math skills and the ability to operate a cash register.
• Comfortable creating and being featured in social media content.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Part Time and Full Time Positions available - hours will vary Tuesday - Sunday ranging from 9:30-5:30pm with possibility of working private events.

Part Time pay is 14.00 an hour

Full Time pay starts at 15.00 an hour
