Slipway Operations Supervisor

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly competent Slipway Operations Supervisor to oversee and manage all slipway and vessel haul-out operations at our marine facility in Doha.

The ideal candidate will have strong shipyard operational experience, excellent safety leadership, and proven ability to manage marine lifting and launching activities efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise vessel haul-out and launching operations
• Manage slipway equipment including winches, cables, cradles, and rail systems
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and maritime regulations
• Conduct risk assessments and toolbox talks prior to operations
• Coordinate with vessel owners, captains, and marine engineers
• Supervise riggers, winch operators, and yard personnel
• Monitor maintenance schedules for slipway infrastructure
• Ensure proper vessel blocking, stability, and load distribution
• Prepare operational reports and performance updates

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 7–10 years of shipyard or marine operations experience
• At least 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial role
• Strong knowledge of rigging, lifting plans, and load calculations
• Familiarity with maritime safety standards and port regulations
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work in an outdoor marine environment

Preferred

• GCC experience (Qatar preferred)
• Knowledge of marine maintenance operations
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
