Responsibilities
- Perform detailed diagnostics on small engines and power equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Repair and overhaul engines, including carburetor adjustments, ignition systems, fuel systems, and electrical components.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and heavy lifting techniques to complete repairs efficiently.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups to extend equipment lifespan.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and documentation for all repairs performed.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and offering maintenance advice to clients.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dealership or service technician roles specializing in small engine repair or similar automotive/equipment repair fields.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques.
- Familiarity with schematics, electrical systems, diesel engine repair, generator repair, and vehicle maintenance is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments.
- Knowledge of Caterpillar equipment or other heavy machinery is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently using technical manuals or schematics.

Pay: $24.00 - $50.00 per hour
