Job Title: Electrical Site Engineer - Smart Solutions and Lighting
Department: DAL Store & Kontract – Installation Division
Main Purpose of the Role:
The Electrical Site Engineer is responsible for the full coordination of installation projects from client communication to project closure. This includes confirming installation schedules, coordinating teams, reporting materials, supervising overall performance, and ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery of services. A critical part of this role is to maximize worker efficiency and reduce operational costs by optimizing manpower allocation and avoiding waste.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Coordination
- Communicate with clients to confirm the scope of work, schedule installation days, and review all project details.
- Align expectations, clarify responsibilities, and ensure all changes are documented.
2. Project Scheduling & Planning
- Create and update weekly project schedules and work plans.
- Ensure installation phases are booked efficiently to avoid downtime or rework.
- Reschedule only, when necessary, with proper justification and client consent.
3. Team Coordination & Supervision
- Assign installation teams based on skillset, scope, and availability.
- Supervise and evaluate team performance across all projects, not just on-site presence.
- Ensure compliance with dress code (uniform and ID badge), safety, and conduct policies.
- Monitor the productivity of each team, flagging inefficiencies or repeated mistakes.
4. Material & Logistics Reporting
- List all materials required per project/phase ahead of time.
- Coordinate with warehouse and procurement to ensure timely delivery.
- Prevent overordering or underutilization of materials through proper forecasting.
- Immediately report any wasted materials or damaged items.
5. Project Opening & Closing
- Project Opening: Document initial site conditions, align client expectations, and confirm scope.
- Project Closing: Finalize checklist, document completed work, get client signature, and report final status with remarks.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Keep organized project files: client communications, materials reports, team assignments, delays, and changes.
- Submit a weekly summary to the Operations Manager.
- Use digital tools (where applicable) to log tasks, photos, and issues.
7. Worker Efficiency & Cost Reduction (New Section)
- Review workload vs. manpower weekly and recommend adjustments (merge/split teams as needed).
- Avoid idle time between jobs; ensure teams move efficiently from one task to the next.
- Avoid assigning more workers than necessary based on the scope.
- Suggest early morning or late shifts to comply with summer work restrictions while reducing overtime costs.
- Support two-shift systems during peak loads only when necessary.
- Prevent overuse of equipment and tools.
- Report repeated issues with teams that cause damage or inefficiencies.
- Track time spent per site and raise alerts when projects are taking longer than planned.
- Report areas of overspending or inefficiency in manpower, transport, or material usage.
- Recommend solutions to reduce cost (e.g., combining site visits, reusing materials, using smaller teams).
- Compare actual time and material usage to estimated values and analyse discrepancies.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Percentage of projects completed on time.
- Number of rescheduled or delayed installations.
- Average manpower used per project vs. plan.
- Rate of material wastage or reorders.
- Number of client complaints related to coordination.
- Worker productivity score (based on task completion per day/week).
- Weekly cost-saving suggestions submitted.

Pay: KD300.000 - KD600.000 per month
