Description:
The SME Hydrology & Hydraulic Modeler at Qiddiya Investment Company will be instrumental in managing and analyzing water-related challenges within large-scale development projects. This role will focus on the planning, development, and application of hydraulic models to assess surface water management, drainage, and flood risks effectively. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with project teams to deliver innovative solutions that align with Qiddiya's sustainability goals and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain hydrological and hydraulic models using software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and other industry-standard modeling tools.
- Conduct detailed analysis of rainfall runoff, flood events, and the impacts of proposed developments on local water systems.
- Evaluate water quality and quantity issues as part of integrated water resource management plans.
- Collaborate with civil engineers and project teams to ensure that hydrological considerations are integrated into the design of infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
- Prepare hydrology and hydraulic reports to inform stakeholders and regulatory authorities, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards.
- Provide expert opinions for permits and regulatory submissions related to water management and environmental considerations.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including local authorities and environmental organizations, to address hydrological concerns and promote best practices in water management.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and methodologies in hydrology and hydraulic modeling to enhance project outcomes.
Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hydrology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in hydrology and hydraulic modeling, particularly in large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Proven expertise in using hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, MIKE, or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of water resource management, stormwater management, and flood risk assessment.
- Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
