Smoke Management & Ventilation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Smoke & Ventilation Engineer with 4+ years of experience in smoke management systems, ventilation design, and site implementation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and supervising smoke extraction and ventilation systems in accordance with UAE codes, NFPA standards, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare smoke management and ventilation system designs, calculations, and shop drawings.
• Develop HVAC/smoke extraction layouts, duct sizing, and equipment selection.
• Ensure compliance with UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, NFPA standards, and local authority regulations.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and project teams during design and execution stages.
• Supervise site installation, testing, and commissioning of smoke and ventilation systems.
• Conduct inspections, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality and safety standards are maintained.
• Prepare technical reports, method statements, and project documentation.
• Support project handover and authority approvals when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of proven experience in smoke management and ventilation systems.
• Strong knowledge of smoke extraction systems, stair pressurization, car park ventilation, and HVAC integration.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC calculation tools.
• Familiarity with UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, NFPA, and relevant international standards.
• Experience in both design and site implementation/coordination.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.
• UAE driving license is an advantage.
