In this role, you will engage with customers, provide product demonstrations, and ensure the store remains organized and inviting. Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products tailored to their preferences
• Conduct product demos for pipes, tobacco blends, and accessories to educate and excite customers
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with fresh inventory
• Upsell complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
• Manage stock levels through regular stocking, inventory checks, and product rotation
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or taking orders remotely

Requirements

• Prior retail sales experience, preferably in a grocery store or specialty shop setting
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills and team collaboration
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in both English and bilingual capacities if applicable
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math for accurate transactions
• Ability to perform merchandising tasks, stock shelves, and manage inventory efficiently
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Knowledge of or interest in tobacco products, pipes, or related accessories is preferred but not required
• Previous experience in upselling techniques and product demos is advantageous
