Job Description
We are looking for Snowflake Data Engineer . This position will be full-time and onsite Gurugram.

What You’ll Do
Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines in Snowflake for data ingestion, transformation, and loading.
Build and maintain CDC (Change Data Capture) pipelines to support incremental data updates and real-time data synchronization.
Develop and maintain data marts to support Spotfire dashboards and other analytical workloads.
Integrate and migrate data from Oracle and PostgreSQL databases into Snowflake.
Write, review, and optimize complex SQL, PL/SQL, and PostgreSQL queries for data analysis and transformation.
Collaborate with BI developers and business users to understand reporting requirements and deliver efficient data structures.
Implement best practices for data modeling, query performance tuning, and warehouse optimization in Snowflake.
Manage Snowflake environments, including warehouses, user roles, security, and cost optimization.
Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all systems and pipelines.
Work closely with data governance and operations teams to maintain compliance and metadata integrity.

What You'll Need

Required:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in data engineering or data warehousing roles.
Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, including schema design, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and CDC pipelines.
Solid working experience with Oracle (PL/SQL) and PostgreSQL, including query writing, tuning, and data extraction.
Advanced SQL skills for building, debugging, and optimizing complex queries.
Experience designing data marts and preparing data models for Spotfire or other BI tools.
Scripting knowledge in Python for automation and data processing.
Understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
Experience with Spotfire data integration and dashboard optimization.
Exposure to real-time/streaming data frameworks.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data workflows.
Knowledge of data governance, lineage, and metadata management.

Physical Demands
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationery most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
