Job Title: Snowflake Developer
Location: Boston, MA 02116 (Candidates must reside in MA, NH, or RI)
Duration: 12 months

Job Summary:
"Navitas Partners, LLC" is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Snowflake Developer/Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Snowflake, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud data architecture. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions that meet business analytics and reporting requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of Snowflake best practices, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize query performance, resource utilization, and storage management.

  • User and Access Management: Manage user access, roles, and permissions to ensure data security and compliance.

  • Data Integration: Support data integration processes including data loading, transformation, and extraction.

  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support for Snowflake-related issues, resolving performance bottlenecks and optimizing queries.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes; generate regular performance reports.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and IT professionals to ensure seamless integration and optimal Snowflake performance.

  • Best Practices: Stay current with Snowflake and industry best practices, recommending improvements and upgrades as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or database development.

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, performance tuning, and security.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Experience with source control tools (GitHub preferred), ETL/ELT tools, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).

  • Knowledge of AI tools is a plus.

  • Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and analytics.

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Experience integrating Snowflake with BI and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.

Required Skills:

  • Expertise in Snowflake architecture, features, and capabilities.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Snowflake-specific query optimization, and Python.

  • Experience with ETL tools, data integration, database design, and data modeling.

  • Knowledge of Snowflake security features, including access control, authentication, authorization, encryption, masking, and secure views.

  • Experience in AWS cloud environments and integrating Snowflake with identity and access management systems (e.g., Azure IDP).

  • Familiarity with other relational databases, cloud data warehouses, and big data platforms is a plus.

  • Snowflake certification (SnowPro Core or Advanced) preferred.

  • Strong analytical, process-oriented, and strategic thinking skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).

  • Knowledge of T-SQL, DevOps, and scripting is advantageous.
