About the Role

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Social Media Marketing / PR Representative to support our brand’s online presence, community engagement, and public relations efforts. This role will help plan and execute social media content, coordinate influencer and media outreach, and manage day-to-day communication across digital platforms. The ideal candidate combines strong creative instincts with excellent communication skills and a proactive, organized approach.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management

  • Assist in planning, creating, and posting content across social platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
  • Write engaging captions, schedule posts, and ensure all content aligns with brand voice and messaging.
  • Monitor social media channels daily—responding to comments, messages, and engaging with followers.
  • Track performance metrics and provide insights to improve reach, engagement, and follower growth.
  • Stay current on social media trends, emerging platforms, viral content, and competitors.

Community Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with our online community by responding to customer questions, product inquiries, and comments.
  • Identify opportunities for brand engagement through hashtags, user-generated content, and partnerships.
  • Support crisis communication or customer issue escalations when needed.

Public Relations & Media Outreach

  • Assist with PR planning, press releases, media lists, and editorial calendar updates.
  • Research and identify media outlets, journalists, editors, and influencers relevant to brand initiatives.
  • Coordinate sample sends, press kits, product seeding, and follow-up communications.
  • Track coverage, compile press reports, and maintain media contact databases.

Influencer & Ambassador Coordination

  • Identify, vet, and reach out to influencers and content creators that align with the brand.
  • Coordinate gifting, collaborations, and campaign deliverables.
  • Manage influencer communication, contracts (if applicable), and performance tracking.
  • Build ongoing relationships with creators to support long-term partnerships.

Content Support

  • Assist in planning photoshoots, video content, and campaign creative needs.
  • Help gather, organize, and archive digital assets and UGC for future use.
  • Collaborate with design, product, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive creative execution.

Event & Campaign Support

  • Support PR events, launch events, trade shows, and brand activations.
  • Help prepare materials such as media kits, event briefs, and promotional content.
  • Assist with real-time social coverage during events or collaborations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, Journalism, or related field.
  • 1–3+ years of experience in social media, PR, influencer marketing, or digital marketing.
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with an eye for detail.
  • Proficient in social media platforms and scheduling tools (e.g., Later, Sprout, Hootsuite).
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative mindset with understanding of visual storytelling and brand aesthetics.
  • Comfortable being both collaborative and independent in daily responsibilities.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience in beauty, cosmetics, fashion, or consumer brands.
  • Basic photo/video editing skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut).
  • Existing relationships with influencers or media contacts.
  • Experience with PR tools (Meltwater, Cision) or influencer platforms (GRIN, Aspire).
  • On-camera confidence for TikTok or behind-the-scenes content creation.

Pay: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
