Social Media Assistant for Boutique Marketing Agency

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a disciplined, detail–oriented, enthusiastic and creative Part-Time Social Media Assistant to join our growing social media marketing agency. This role has strong potential to grow into a long-term, full-time position as our agency continues to scale.

As a key member of our team, you will play an essential role in maintaining and elevating the online presence and reputation of our clients. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about social media trends, stays ahead of industry best practices, is exceptionally organized, and communicates proactively.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily community engagement to build genuine growth and conversation within client accounts
• Execute high-quality posting across multiple platforms: Instagram, Facebook, X, Threads, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest and TikTok
• Manage community initiatives — including influencer partnerships, outreach, and relationship building
• Communicate directly with the founder and provide progress updates
• Light admin tasks as needed to support the overall agency workflow

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of best practices across major social platforms
• Knowledge of how algorithms work and how to optimize posting for reach + performance
• Excellent communication skills, creativity, and the ability to work independently while hitting deadlines
• Ability to quickly learn new tools and operate within project management systems (Google Sheets, Dropbox, Microsoft, etc.)
• Canva design skills (graphic design or layout experience)
• CapCut video editing skills (or ability to learn)

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in social media, marketing, or a similar role (agency experience is a plus)
• Demonstrated track record or strong interest in social media growth for brands
