Social Media & Branding Manager for Boating Company

ABOUT TAMPA BAY BOATING ADVENTURES

Tampa Bay Boating Adventures (TBBA) is the fastest-growing boating excursion startup in the Tampa Bay area. Founded in 2022, we show local university students and young adults the side of Tampa Bay most people never get to see: private beaches, exclusive islands, tiki bars, and bleach-white sand accessible only by water. From relaxing sunset cruises to full-blown Gasparilla parties on the water, TBBA is the name when you want to party on the bay.

Our brand is loud, unapologetic, and 100% Florida. This role is not about making content -- it is about owning it. You will set the direction, manage the calendar, guide our intern team, and make sure everything that goes out looks and feels like TBBA.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Strategy & Management

  • Manage and maintain our social media calendar across Instagram (primary) and TikTok (secondary)
  • Review and provide feedback on intern-created content each month
  • Review monthly performance in Meta and determine the $50 monthly intern incentive winner
  • Help scout, review, and schedule influencer trips during approved months
  • Assist with influencer and photoshoot booking through FareHarbor using assigned promo codes

Content Creation

  • Shoot photos and videos for social posts during boat trips and events
  • Create engaging, trend-forward content that fits our brand voice
  • Coordinate and attend monthly content shoot trips
  • Curate playlists for trips and occasional promotional events

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Experience (this is not an entry-level content role)

  • Prior social media management experience: running accounts, owning a content calendar, analyzing performance
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or reviewing the work of peers or junior team members
  • Familiarity with Meta Business Suite or similar analytics tools
  • Experience with influencer coordination or brand partnerships is a plus

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a Junior (required)
  • Fluent in current trends on Instagram (primary) and TikTok
  • Background in digital marketing, influencer marketing, or communications
  • Organized and accountable -- you will be holding the team to a content calendar
  • Flexible schedule, as some trips and events fall on weekends
  • Genuine love for boats, the sun, social media, and a good time on the water
