Social Media Consulting Specialist, Marketing and Communications

Cairo, Egypt

Support in the implementation of social media consulting delivery for CID and assigned clients, primarily the EU delegation in Egypt.

  • Lead in strategizing and execution of social media plans for CID and assigned clients, ensuring consistent branding and messaging and alignment with organization's goals.
  • Designing and managing social media calendars for CID and assigned clients in alignment with the social media strategies.
  • Creating original, engaging and diverse content for different platforms, utilizing formats including images, videos, infographics and people-centered content.
  • Lightly moderate the social media pages for CID and monitor comments and sentiment for assigned clients.
  • Manage the publishing and scheduling of all content connected to manage social media platforms, and aligning on the publishing of complementary content (e.g. websites, press, etc..).
  • Track and analyze social media metrics to measure the effectiveness of content for CID and assigned clients.
  • Prepare periodic performance reports with data-driven recommendations on content/social media improvements.
  • Regularly coordinate with multiple stakeholders to collect content and curate it for social media page.
  • Conduct thorough research on new social media trends and efficiently appropriate references to content for social media plans.

Requirements

Technical Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism or any relevant field.
  • 4 years of hands-on experience in social media management or digital communications, preferably at least 1 with an international organization.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English.
  • Ability to conduct thorough and comprehensive research for social media campaigns or content ideas.
  • Ability to develop and implement social media calendars with clear communication goals.
  • Ability to manage and create various forms of engaging content for social media, including text, images and videos.
  • Ability to measure and assess the performance of social media content on all platforms (FB, Instagram, LinkedIn & X), including tracking performance metrics.
  • Ability to provide data-driven recommendations and decisions based on performance metrics.
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding and hands-on experience on social media platforms (FB, Instagram, LinkedIn, X and BlueSky).
  • Has a good understanding of fundamental principles in design and video editing for social media, ability to do designs on Canva and simple video editing is an advantage.
  • Experienced in media buying and boosting content on various platforms.
  • Ability to translate complex topics in business and development to simple and digestible social media content.
