Overview

Old Glory Distilling Co. is looking for a Social Media & Marketing Assistant to help bring our brand to life online.

This role is focused on capturing and creating content that reflects the full experience at Old Glory, from the restaurant and distillery to live music and events in the Silo Park. You’ll work directly with ownership to plan, shoot, and produce content that keeps our brand consistent, visible, and engaging.

This is a hands-on, on-site role for someone who enjoys being in the middle of a busy environment and knows how to turn real moments into strong content.

Responsibilities

Content Creation & Capture

• Capture photo and video content on-site, including food, cocktails, events, and day-to-day moments throughout the restaurant, distillery, and the Silo Park
• Be present during key business hours to capture real-time content, including daytime, evenings, weekends, and events
• Capture content during off-site events, including distillery tastings and brand activations
• Plan and execute content based on upcoming events, menu features, and promotions

Content Editing & Publishing

• Create and edit short-form video content for Instagram Reels and TikTok
• Edit photo content for social media and marketing use
• Post and schedule content across platforms, ensuring consistency and alignment with Old Glory’s brand and tone

Marketing & Promotions Support

• Update and create marketing graphics for events, including flyers, social posts, and in-house promotional materials
• Assist with maintaining and updating event promotions across platforms
• Support promotion of live music, seasonal offerings, and special events with timely content
• Assist with additional marketing efforts as needed, supporting overall business goals

Community Outreach & Brand Representation

• Represent Old Glory Distilling Co. in the community through local outreach efforts
• Visit local businesses, hotels, and community partners to promote events, experiences, and offerings
• Support and help grow hotel and tourism relationships and programs
• Assist with on-site and off-site promotional efforts that drive awareness and traffic
• Work off-site distillery tasting events, driving brand awareness

Community Engagement

• Monitor comments and messages, responding to basic inquiries and flagging anything that needs attention
• Help maintain a consistent and professional presence across social platforms

Content Organization

• Organize and maintain a library of photos and videos for ongoing marketing use
• Ensure content is accessible and usable for future campaigns, ads, and promotions

Collaboration

• Work directly with ownership, taking direction while also contributing ideas
• Stay aligned with brand voice, visual standards, and overall marketing direction

What We’re Looking For

• Experience creating content for Instagram and TikTok
• Strong understanding of short-form video and what performs well
• Comfortable filming in a fast-paced, public environment
• Reliable, consistent, and able to follow through
• Strong attention to detail and awareness of brand presentation
• Ability to take direction and execute while staying organized

Bonus Experience

• Hospitality, restaurant, or bar industry experience
• Strong video editing skills (CapCut, Adobe, or similar)
• Eye for lighting, composition, and storytelling
• Basic understanding of social media performance and engagement

Schedule & Expectations

• 30-40 hours per week
• Must be available during peak business hours, including evenings and weekends
• On-site presence is required for content capture
• Expected to produce consistent weekly content (short-form video and photo)

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
