Core Job Duties:

Content Creation & Filming

• Film short-form content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts
• Capture office culture, team activities, events, listings, behind-the-scenes footage, and day-in-the-life content
• Film vlog-style content with agents and team members
• Ride along with Chris Colgan on community tours, driving tours, and content shoots to help plan, film, and set up productions
• Operate cameras, microphones, lighting, tripods, gimbals, and other production equipment
• Assist with drone footage and be willing to obtain FAA Part 107 certification if needed
• Help take professional headshots and branding photos for agents and team members

Short-Form Video Editing & Content Repurposing

• Edit high-retention short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook Reels, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts
• Repurpose long-form YouTube videos, podcasts, and livestreams into engaging short-form content
• Reformat content for different platforms including Facebook and LinkedIn
• Add captions, motion graphics, transitions, sound effects, hooks, and visual storytelling elements
• Stay current on short-form trends, editing styles, and social media best practices

Social Media Management & Posting

• Create and post original social media content across multiple platforms
• Design high-quality carousel posts and graphics using Canva and other design tools
• Write captions, hooks, headlines, and calls-to-action optimized for engagement
• Schedule and publish content consistently
• Help maintain and grow the company’s social media presence across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube

AI SEO & Written Content Repurposing

• Repurpose YouTube videos, podcasts, and livestreams into blog posts, LinkedIn articles, Substack posts, newsletters, and SEO-driven written content
• Help optimize written content for Google search, AI search results, and emerging AI SEO strategies
• Turn video content into searchable long-form articles and web content
• Assist with headlines, formatting, internal linking, and content organization for maximum reach and discoverability
• Help distribute content across blogs, newsletters, LinkedIn, and other written content platforms

Content Research & Strategy

• Monitor Northern Virginia local news, development projects, business updates, real estate trends, and breaking stories daily
• Research viral content opportunities and trending topics before competitors
• Bring fresh content ideas and creative concepts to the team regularly
• Help identify stories, topics, and trends that can turn into high-performing social media and YouTube content
• Provide research and talking points for videos and media productions

Live Production & Media Operations

• Help run YouTube Lives, live streams, webinars, and podcast productions
• Assist with audio, camera, lighting, and livestream setup
• Operate livestream software such as OBS, StreamYard, Riverside, or similar tools
• Organize media files, content calendars, and production workflows
• Help maintain a fast-moving, high-output media operation

Schedule & Availability

• Must be flexible and available at times for evening, after-hours, and weekend filming or events
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, content-driven environment where schedules may shift based on breaking news, trends, or filming opportunities

• Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
• Understanding of AI SEO, content repurposing, and modern digital media strategy
• Experienced in short-form editing and content creation
• Able to work independently without constant direction
• Highly organized, proactive, creative, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable moving quickly in a fast-paced media environment
• Passionate about content creation, storytelling, and social media growth
• Experience growing pages, building brands, or creating viral content is a major plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
