Social Media & Graphic Design Assistant

Overview

Are you passionate about social media, visual storytelling, and film? We’re seeking a Social Media & Graphic Design Assistant to join the creative team behind Sororal, an upcoming coming-of-age short film. This internship is a hands-on opportunity to build your portfolio, collaborate with a real film crew, and gain behind-the-scenes experience in independent filmmaking.

You’ll help shape our online presence (especially on Instagram and TikTok) while also supporting casting outreach, crowdfunding efforts, and fundraising events. This role is not paid, but ideal for students or emerging creatives looking to gain real-world experience and credits in film and digital media.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging social media content for Instagram and TikTok (posts, stories, reels, short-form videos).
• Design visual assets using Canva, Photoshop, or Illustrator to support promotional campaigns.
• Assist with content planning and scheduling to support film promotion, casting calls, and crowdfunding.
• Support social media coverage for fundraising events and film-related activities.
• Help promote and support the crowdfunding campaign, including graphics and social posts.
• Assist with casting outreach by sharing announcements and engagement posts.
• Engage with followers by responding to comments and messages in a timely, professional manner.
• Collaborate closely with the director and production team to ensure branding and tone align with the film’s vision.
• Contribute creative ideas for content that builds community and excitement around the project.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in social media, graphic design, film, or digital storytelling.
• Familiarity with Instagram and TikTok content trends.
• Experience with Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and/or Illustrator (formal training not required).
• Basic understanding of content creation, branding, or digital marketing.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable, organized, and able to manage tasks independently.
• Passion for film, storytelling, or creative projects is a big plus.
