The Social Media Intern will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing social media strategies that enhance brand awareness, drive engagement, and increase website traffic. The role requires creativity, analytical thinking, and a deep understanding of social media trends and tools. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, the ability to produce high-quality content, and experience in managing multiple social media platforms professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with overall marketing goals.
- Research audience preferences and discover current trends to inform content strategy.
- Create monthly content calendars, campaign plans, and performance targets.
2. Content Creation & Management
- Create engaging, high-quality content (text, image, video, and stories) tailored for each platform (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, etc.).
- Oversee the design and aesthetics of all social media pages to maintain brand consistency.
- Collaborate with the graphic design and content teams to ensure cohesive visual and written branding.
3. Community Management
- Respond to followers’ comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Build relationships with followers, influencers, and online communities to enhance brand loyalty.
- Monitor user-generated content to ensure compliance with brand standards.
4. Campaigns & Growth Initiatives
- Plan and execute advertising campaigns (Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, LinkedIn Ads, etc.) to achieve targeted reach and conversions.
- Collaborate with influencers and brand ambassadors to expand brand visibility.
- Conduct competitor analysis to identify opportunities and emerging trends.
5. Analytics & Reporting
- Track, measure, and analyse performance metrics such as reach, engagement, conversion, and ROI.
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports and recommend data-driven improvements.
- Monitor algorithm changes and adjust strategies accordingly.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Proven experience as a Social Media Intern, Digital Marketer, or similar role.
- Understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and trends.
- Proficiency in tools like Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Buffer, or Later.
- Experience with social media advertising and audience targeting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic graphic design or video editing skills (Canva, Adobe Suite preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Creative, proactive, and results-oriented mindset.
