Social Media Management - Internship (Remote)

Overview
We’re looking for a proactive Social Media Intern with some hands-on experience in social media management and social media optimization (SMO). This role is ideal for someone who understands social platforms, knows how to optimize posts for reach/engagement, and wants to learn paid social, analytics and content strategy. You’ll help plan, create, schedule, and analyze social content across channels while improving our audience growth and engagement.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and scheduling content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter (X), Pinterest and/or TikTok.
• Write clear, brand-aligned captions and calls-to-action optimized for engagement and conversions.
• Perform basic Social Media Optimization (SMO): hashtag research, optimal post timing, caption/CTA testing, content repurposing.

Manage day-to-day community interactions: respond to comments and DMs following brand voice and escalation process.

• Monitor platform analytics and produce weekly performance summaries with actionable insights.
• Help design simple graphics, story templates, and social assets using Canva or similar tools.
• Keep up with social trends and recommend new formats or topics to test.
• Maintain a content calendar and ensure content approvals and asset organization.

Experience
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:

• Basic experience with Social Media Optimization (SMO): familiarity with hashtag strategies, timing, and engagement tactics.
• Curious, coachable, and eager to learn more about performance marketing and social strategy.
• Comfortable using scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite, Later, Meta Business Suite).
• Solid written communication — you can write short, punchy captions and longer-form posts when needed.
• Basic graphic skills (Canva or Adobe Spark). Not expected to be a designer — just tidy, on-brand visuals.
• Familiarity with platform analytics (Instagram Insights, Facebook Page Insights, Twitter Analytics, LinkedIn Analytics) and a willingness to work with spreadsheets.

Highly organized, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented.
