Position Summary:

The Social Media Manager will lead the planning, creation, and execution of social media content and campaigns to support the company’s broadcast, digital, and promotional initiatives. This role is responsible for driving engagement, audience growth, and brand awareness across all social platforms, ensuring alignment with the company’s tone, voice, and visual identity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement social media strategies that support programming, brand initiatives, and audience engagement goals.
  • Create, curate, and manage daily content (written, visual, and video) across multiple platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
  • Collaborate with producers, on-air talent, and marketing teams to promote shows, events, and digital initiatives.
  • Monitor analytics, performance metrics, and audience insights to optimize content and campaigns.
  • Manage paid social media campaigns and budgets as needed.
  • Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices to ensure the company remains innovative and competitive.
  • Engage directly with the online community, responding to comments, messages, and viewer feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with graphic design, video production, and editorial teams to ensure cohesive messaging and branding.
  • Track competitors and identify opportunities for audience growth and cross-platform engagement.
  • Maintain social media calendars and ensure all deadlines are met for scheduled campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience managing social media for a media, entertainment, or broadcast organization (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of digital content strategy, community management, and social analytics.
  • Proficiency with social media tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Later, etc.).
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a keen eye for visual detail.
  • Experience working with video and short-form content platforms (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts).
  • Knowledge of SEO, digital advertising, and influencer collaboration a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexible schedule — Monday through Friday, In-Office

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
