The Role

We’re growing fast—and the creator community is noticing! We recently posted two open roles for our creative team and saw our engagement 10x, gaining nearly 1,000 new followers on LinkedIn practically overnight. Now, we need a passionate, creative Social Media Manager to capture this incredible momentum and build a digital home for our community across all platforms.

In this hybrid role, you won't be working in a silo. You will team up daily with our newly hired Visual Designer and Video Editor to form a powerhouse creative trio. Together, you will brainstorm, create, and launch cohesive campaigns that don't just sell software, but actually inspire, educate, and champion video professionals. We aren't looking for a stiff corporate background—we want a collaborative builder who knows how to authentically grow an audience.


What You’ll Do:

  • Build & Inspire: Develop, own, and execute strategies to grow our presence across all major social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube, etc.).
  • Collaborate Creatively: Work hand-in-hand with our visual design and media teams to ideate, script, and produce high-quality, inspiring social content.
  • Be the Voice (and Face): Act as the ultimate community champion for Cutback. Foster meaningful interactions with our audience, jump on relevant trends, and build relationships with video professionals. While you will do plenty of strategizing behind the scenes, you shouldn't be afraid to eventually step in front of the camera to host a TikTok, Reel, or tutorial!
  • Manage the Calendar: Build and maintain a dynamic content calendar, ensuring a consistent and engaging posting schedule.
  • Analyze & Optimize: Track performance metrics, figure out what our audience loves, and continuously optimize campaigns to scale our community.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: 4+ years of general experience in social media management, digital marketing, or community building. We care less about a traditional corporate resume and more about your proven track record.
  • Proof of Work (Required): You must have a portfolio, case studies, or direct links to social accounts you have actively grown and managed. (Applications without this will not be considered).
  • Creator-Centric Mindset: You understand the video editing and creator space. You know what makes editors tick, what their pain points are, and how to speak their language.
  • Camera-Ready: You are comfortable—or willing to get comfortable—stepping up to be a face of the brand in short-form video content.
  • Team Player: You thrive in a collaborative environment and know how to communicate your vision effectively to designers and video editors.


Compensation & Perks:

  • Salary: $70,000 – $90,000 USD / year
  • Flexible hybrid work schedule
