Velra is a new, video-first dating platform designed to redefine what online dating actually feels like.

We’re building a more intentional, higher-signal community—where people show up as they are, not as curated profiles. Video is at the core of everything we do.

The company is founded by a technology industry veteran with 30+ years of startup experience, and we’re currently in early access—focused on building something that feels fundamentally different from every other dating app.

We’re looking for a Social Media Manager who understands how to create content that people actually want to watch, share, and engage with.

This is not a “post 3x per week” role.

This is about shaping the voice and growth of Velra in real time.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Owning Velra’s presence across platforms (TikTok, Instagram, X, etc.)
• Creating and publishing short-form video content (core focus)
• Working directly with the founding team on content strategy
• Identifying trends early and executing quickly
• Helping define what “dating content” looks like in a video-first world

• Shoot, edit, and post short-form video (daily cadence)
• Turn real user behavior and insights into content
• Experiment constantly—formats, hooks, tone
• Build and manage a content calendar (but stay flexible)
• Engage with comments, DMs, and community signals
• Collaborate on campaigns, launches, and product moments

• Strong instinct for what performs on TikTok/IG Reels
• Ability to create content quickly (not overproduced)
• Comfortable being hands-on (shooting, editing, posting)
• Clear taste—knows what feels high-quality vs. generic
• Interest in dating, culture, and human behavior
• Bonus: on-camera presence

• Has grown or contributed to a social account with real traction
• Understands hooks, retention, and storytelling
• Thinks like a creator, not just a marketer
• Moves fast, experiments often, learns quickly

• Location: In-office, Beverly Hills, CA
• Stage: Early (you’ll have real influence)
