Social Media Manager and Content Writer

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, socially conscious and result-driven Social Media Manager and Content Writer with prior experience in NGOs or social impact organizations to manage our digital presence, develop engaging content, execute online campaigns and strategic digital outreach to students, parents, teachers, alumni, donors and other stakeholders to highlight our impact, amplify our voice, and drive community engagement. The ideal candidate should have a passion for storytelling, with a strong grasp of digital trends and content strategies.

Responsibilities:

(1) Social Media Management: Develop and execute a multi-platform strategy (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, YouTube, etc.), create and schedule posts, engage with audiences, respond to comments/messages/reviews in a timely manner, monitor performance metrics, and stay updated on trends and best practices to enhance online visibility.

(2) Content Writing and Storytelling: Produce engaging written and visual content (blogs, newsletters, donor reports, press releases, success stories, campaign materials, seasonal greetings, proposals etc.).

(3) Community Engagement: Interact with stake holders (alumni, parents, donors, volunteers etc.) to foster relationships, raise awareness about BJFI’s work, and ensure consistent brand messaging across all communications.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or related field

· 1–3 years of relevant experience in social media handling and content writing (NGO or education sector preferred)

· Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English and Punjabi

· Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines

· Working knowledge of design tools (Canva, Adobe Spark etc. ) and social media tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, Meta Business Suite etc.), photography/video editing skills, SEO knowledge and familiarity with Google Analytics will be an added advantage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
