The Role

We’re looking for Assistant Leads — emerging social media managers who are ready to step into leadership, take ownership of client accounts, and grow inside a fast-moving, creative-led agency.

This role is for people who can execute creatively, not just plan. If you can’t edit clean, compelling, on-brand content, this will not be the right fit.

Training & Growth Structure (Please Read Carefully)

  • All candidates begin with a 2-week unpaid training period

This phase is designed to:

  • Assess commitment, reliability, and execution quality
  • Train you in YDG WRLD systems, standards, and workflows
  • Ensure mutual alignment before moving forward
  • After successful completion of training, you move into a paid entry-level role at $3,000/month
  • After full company integration (typically 1–2 months, depending on performance and learning speed), you are promoted to Assistant Lead at $3,500/month

Advancement is performance-based, not time-based.

Responsibilities

  • Execute social media strategy across multiple client accounts
  • Edit short-form video content (Reels, TikToks) at a high level– clean cuts, strong pacing, captions, rhythm, and storytelling
  • Assist with content planning, captions, and creative direction
  • Manage posting schedules and content rollouts
  • Coordinate deliverables, timelines, and internal communication
  • Monitor engagement, comments, DMs, and community interactions
  • Track performance and assist with analytics and reporting
  • Stay culturally aware while maintaining brand integrity
  • Support Lead Managers with execution and account organization

Editing Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

  • Strong short-form video editing skills
  • Proficiency in tools like CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or equivalent

Ability to:

  • Edit for pacing, tone, and story (not just trends)
  • Apply clean captions and text treatments
  • Maintain consistent brand aesthetics across accounts
  • You must be able to provide editing samples or social accounts showcasing your work

What We’re Looking For

  • Prior experience managing and editing content for brands or creators
  • Strong understanding of Instagram & TikTok ecosystems
  • Clean writing skills and strong brand awareness
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and deadline-driven
  • Comfortable with Canva, Adobe tools, Google Drive, and Notion
  • Strong communication and follow-through
  • Takes ownership and pride in execution quality

Bonus (Not Required)

  • Agency or fast-paced creative environment experience
  • Analytics or reporting experience
  • Interest in creative direction or production
  • LA-based with flexibility for shoots or meetings
