The Social Media Manager Intern will support the Digital Media and Creative teams in planning, creating, and managing content across all social platforms. This role is perfect for individuals who want to build a strong digital marketing portfolio and gain hands-on experience in managing professional social media accounts for a research, media, and educational organization.

You will work on content ideas, posting calendars, analytics, captions, engagement strategies, and weekly reporting for CWI and its associated projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manage content for Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.
  • Draft engaging captions, hashtags, and post descriptions.
  • Assist in planning weekly/monthly content calendars.
  • Monitor trends and suggest ideas for reels, posts, and campaigns.
  • Handle page engagement—reply to comments, messages, and queries.
  • Coordinate with the Graphic Design and Video Editing teams for visuals.
  • Track performance analytics and prepare weekly reports.
  • Maintain brand tone, consistency, and professionalism across all platforms.
  • Support campaign launches and digital events.

Skills Required (Beginner-Friendly)

  • Understanding of social media basics and trends.
  • Familiarity with:
  • Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn (required)
  • Canva (plus point)
  • Scheduling tools like Buffer or Meta Business Suite (optional)
  • Good storytelling and writing skills.
  • Creative thinking and ability to adapt to fast-paced digital content needs.
  • Ability to follow brand guidelines and meet deadlines.

Eligibility

Students or fresh graduates in:

  • Media Studies
  • Digital Marketing
  • Mass Communication
  • Business / Management
  • Social Sciences
  • IT students with interest in social media

Freelancers, content creators, and self-taught social media users are also encouraged.
No professional experience required — just creativity and consistency.
