Social Media & Marketing Coordinator

Greater Pittsburgh Specialty Advertising (GPSA) is looking for a Social Media & Marketing Coordinator to support our Sales Team. If you are a well-organized self-starter who would enjoy supporting the communication and marketing efforts for a growing company with a strong Western PA market, this might be the right opportunity for you.

GPSA is a busy, growing apparel decorator and custom sports team outfitter, with in-house screen printing, embroidery and other decorating operations located in Millvale, just a few minutes from the North Shore of Pittsburgh. For 30 years we've delivered high quality uniforms, spirit wear, sporting equipment and exceptional service to schools, organizations and businesses across Western Pennsylvania and beyond.

We're offering a solid, long-term career opportunity for the right person to join our team, spearhead our electronic marketing efforts and grow with us. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications & Responsibilities for this opportunity include:

  • Bachelor's Degree (and/or equivalent experience) in Communications, Digital Media, Marketing or a related field.
  • Experience with successful social media campaigns to promote product sales.
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms and content scheduling tools (Linked In, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to tailor messaging to support sales efforts with specific target audiences.
  • Able to learn and lead our on-line stores product for client fundraising, including design, consulting and maintenance of content and aesthetics. Knowledge of software such as Chipply or Shopify is desirable.
  • Able to design flyers or other printed promotional pieces to support on-line stores and face-to-face sales.
  • Creative passion with ability to contribute and/or produce original ideas.
  • Any understanding (or desire to learn) marketing and sales of sports-oriented products is desirable.
  • Monitor social media channels for market feedback; track metrics and provide basic activity reports to management.
  • Experience in web design and content production is desirable.
  • Able to handle multiple project responsibilities and prioritize to meet important deadlines.
  • Must be proficient with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Reliable transportation and attendance. Our office hours are 8:30am to 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday.

We expect to offer a starting wage of $18.00 to $22.00 per hour, flexible depending on experience.

GPSA is easy to reach, located just off the Route 28 exit in Millvale. We're directly across the river from Lawrenceville, a few minutes from the North Shore, easily accessible from most of the North Hills, and convenient to public transportation.
