OVERVIEW

We are seeking a creative and dynamic Social Media Specialist/Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about social media and the beauty industry, have a keen eye for detail, and possess a strong understanding of various social media platforms and trends. This individual should also be a self-starter with a proven track record of self-proficiency and time management.

Joining our team as a Social Media Assistant offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where creativity is valued. We provide a platform for growth and innovation in the digital marketing space. Based on performance, this role could become a full-time position.

DUTIES

  • Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement
  • Work with Social Coordinator to create engaging content including graphics, videos, and written posts
  • Monitor social media channels for trending news, ideas, and feedback
  • Analyze social media insights to guide future strategies
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness
  • Create new & repurpose previous content in blog (long-form content) suitable for website or email blasts
  • Manage email subscription lists and create email campaigns that align with marketing goals and initiatives
  • Assist with marketing initiatives such as photoshoots, content days, emails campaigns, live marketing events, etc
  • Create Canva designs for various marketing needs such as website needs, social media posts & story content, internal resources, etc
  • Create artists portfolios for new artists
  • Keep marketing materials and internal resources up to date with designs, etc

QUALIFICATIONS

  • AA Required
  • Minimum 1-year experience in social media management, content marketing, public relations, advertising, and/or SEO
  • Bonus if a candidate can showcase a Social Media Content Creation portfolio or Social account results
  • Previous experience working in a remote position preferred
  • Proficient in photography, video editing, Google Drive, Canva, and various social media platforms
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse teams
  • Creative mindset with a strategic approach to content creation
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
