About the Role

We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented Social Media Specialist to help elevate our online presence and grow our organic reach. You’ll be responsible for creating visually compelling, strategy-driven content that reflects our brand and tells the story of the beautiful homes we design and build. This is a 5 hour/week position (to start) with flexible hours within a standard work week 9-5. Position can be hybrid. It requires you to be in Ann Arbor, MI for on-site job site visits and content capture, some office time but the rest can be done from home.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and Implement Strategy: Collaborate with our marketing coordinator to plan, implement, and manage our social media presence across platforms (Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, etc.).
• Create & Curate Engaging Content: Write, design, and schedule high-quality posts that highlight our projects, process, and people—always aligning with our brand voice and aesthetics.
• Capture Photo & Video On-Site: Visit project sites to gather behind-the-scenes photos, short-form videos, and finished space reveals. Turn that content into engaging Reels, Stories, and posts.
• Community Engagement: Monitor comments, DMs, and tags. Respond professionally and warmly to grow community and reinforce our client-centered approach.
• Monitor Trends & Performance: Stay current with industry and platform trends. Track analytics and adjust strategy as needed to improve engagement and reach.
• Maintain Brand Integrity: Ensure all visuals and messaging are consistent with Rochman Design Build’s style: polished, professional, and approachable.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing social media for a lifestyle, home design, or related brand
• Proficiency in Canva (or Adobe Suite), Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook
• Strong eye for design and detail, with photography/video skills for content capture
• Skilled writer who can write in a friendly, refined brand voice
• Understanding of SEO and best practices for social media content
• Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively with a small team
• Bonus: Familiarity with Ann Arbor/SE Michigan and an interest in residential design or architecture
