Job Description: Social Media Marketing Internship (E-commerce)

Position: Social Media Marketing Intern
Location: Remote / EST time zone

Job Overview:
As a Social Media Marketing Intern, you will assist in developing and executing social media strategies across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and other relevant social networks. You will play an integral role in driving engagement, generating leads, and maintaining the presence of our e-commerce brand on social media channels. The intern will work closely with the marketing team to learn the ropes of social media management, content strategy, and e-commerce best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Social Media Management: Manage and schedule posts across various social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.), ensuring content aligns with the overall content strategy.
• Engagement: Actively respond to comments, direct messages, and mentions across platforms, maintaining a positive brand image and building community engagement.
• Lead Generation: Use social media platforms to generate new leads by interacting with potential customers, running promotional campaigns, and supporting sales efforts through targeted outreach.
• Content Strategy & SEO: Assist in creating and curating content that aligns with the brand’s tone and voice. Help optimize content for SEO to increase visibility and engagement on social platforms and search engines.
• Analytics & Reporting: Track performance metrics across social media channels, providing insights and recommendations to improve strategies.
• Trend Analysis & Learning: Stay updated on the latest social media trends, platforms, and strategies. Participate in training sessions to learn and apply new skills relevant to social media marketing in e-commerce.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Some familiarity with social media platforms, specifically Instagram and Facebook, and an understanding of lead generation practices.
• Skills: Knowledge of social media marketing strategies, SEO, and content management tools. Strong communication and writing skills.
• E-commerce Understanding: Interest in e-commerce operations, especially how social media marketing impacts sales, customer acquisition, and brand visibility.
• Proactive: Ability to take initiative, learn quickly, and work with minimal supervision.
