Social Media Marketing Specialist

Role Overview
As the Social Media Marketing Specialist, you will own Roundstone’s organic social media presence, with a strong emphasis on LinkedIn strategy, content creation, engagement, and brand visibility. This role is ideal for a strong writer and creative marketer who enjoys combining storytelling, design, and audience engagement to strengthen brand awareness and reputation. This role reports to the Design Team Lead.
You will manage Roundstone’s day-to-day social media execution to reinforce Roundstone’s position as a leader in the health benefits space. In addition to social media ownership, you will contribute to broader reputation management initiatives, including award submissions, review site management, and other PR opportunities. You will also support internal communications efforts across the organization, helping employees stay informed, connected, and engaged. This position offers the opportunity to grow strategically over time and expand both storytelling and design skills.
Role Responsibilities:
Social Media Management
- Own and maintain Roundstone’s monthly organic social media calendar, with a primary focus on LinkedIn
- Create and schedule engaging social media content aligned with campaign priorities and messaging strategies
- Design on-brand social graphics and visual assets using Canva and other creative tools
- Draft compelling social copy tailored to B2B audiences, specifically targeting employers and advisors
- Monitor and respond to audience questions, comments, and messages in a timely, professional manner
- Develop and execute commenting and engagement strategies that increase visibility and reach
- Potential to support executive LinkedIn thought leadership and visibility initiatives
- Monitor competitor and industry social activity to identify trends, opportunities, and ideas to strengthen Roundstone’s social presence
Reputation Management
- Manage brand reputation by keeping up with Google reviews, maintaining the Google My Business page
- Draft and coordinate industry and company award submissions, in collaboration with Marketing and HR teams
- Identify opportunities to increase Roundstone’s visibility through PR and related brand-building efforts
Other Communications Responsibilities
- Responsible for internal communications efforts, including creation and distribution of internal content to help drive employee engagement
- Help showcase employee achievements, company culture, and community involvement internally and externally
- Support additional creative and presentation needs as assigned, specifically using PowerPoint
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of professional experience in social media, communications or related marketing roles – internships welcome
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Experience creating social media graphics and visual content using Canva or similar tools
- Working knowledge of major social media platforms: LinkedIn, Facebook, Reddit, Bluesky
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Eager to learn, take initiative, and grow with a collaborative team
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with LinkedIn best practices, social media engagement tactics, and content planning
- Experience using social media management tools (e.g., Sprout, Buffer, Hootsuite)
- Experience using Sharepoint
- Experience with presentation design using PowerPoint
- Familiarity with B2B marketing
- Interest in healthcare, benefits, or insurance marketing
- Strong project management skills and drive to document tasks in Wrike, our Marketing project management tool
