Social Media Specialist

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with overall marketing and brand objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with current social media trends, tools, platforms, and best practices.
  • Content Creation & Management:
  • Plan, create, edit, publish, and share engaging daily content (original text, images, videos) across all relevant social media channels.
  • Develop and maintain a social media content calendar and syndication schedule.
  • Ensure all content is consistent with the brand's voice, style, and values.
  • Community Engagement:
  • Monitor, listen, and respond to users in a "social voice" that reflects the brand's personality.
  • Moderate all user-generated content in line with moderation policies.
  • Engage with key influencers and other brands to build relationships and grow the community.
  • Campaigns and Advertising:
  • Design, launch, and manage social media campaigns, contests, and promotions.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of paid social media advertising (e.g., Facebook Ads Manager).
  • Analysis and Reporting:
  • Continuously capture, analyze, and report on the appropriate social data/metrics, insights, and best practices.
  • Use analytical tools (e.g., Google Analytics, platform insights) to track KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and measure campaign performance.
  • Identify actionable insights to optimize and improve future social media performance.
  • Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Customer Service) to manage reputation, coordinate campaigns, and ensure cohesive messaging.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Social Media Specialist, Digital Media Specialist, or similar role.
  • Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrable social networking experience and proficiency with social media analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of online marketing channels, SEO, and web traffic metrics.
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image, and video).
  • Positive attitude, detail and customer-oriented, with good multitasking and organizational ability.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field (preferred).
  • 1 year of experience managing social media for a brand or business.
  • Proficiency in graphic design or video editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) is a strong plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
