Key Responsibilities
- Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with overall marketing and brand objectives.
- Stay up-to-date with current social media trends, tools, platforms, and best practices.
- Content Creation & Management:
- Plan, create, edit, publish, and share engaging daily content (original text, images, videos) across all relevant social media channels.
- Develop and maintain a social media content calendar and syndication schedule.
- Ensure all content is consistent with the brand's voice, style, and values.
- Community Engagement:
- Monitor, listen, and respond to users in a "social voice" that reflects the brand's personality.
- Moderate all user-generated content in line with moderation policies.
- Engage with key influencers and other brands to build relationships and grow the community.
- Campaigns and Advertising:
- Design, launch, and manage social media campaigns, contests, and promotions.
- Assist in the planning and execution of paid social media advertising (e.g., Facebook Ads Manager).
- Analysis and Reporting:
- Continuously capture, analyze, and report on the appropriate social data/metrics, insights, and best practices.
- Use analytical tools (e.g., Google Analytics, platform insights) to track KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and measure campaign performance.
- Identify actionable insights to optimize and improve future social media performance.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Customer Service) to manage reputation, coordinate campaigns, and ensure cohesive messaging.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a Social Media Specialist, Digital Media Specialist, or similar role.
- Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation, and communication skills.
- Demonstrable social networking experience and proficiency with social media analytics tools.
- Knowledge of online marketing channels, SEO, and web traffic metrics.
- Ability to deliver creative content (text, image, and video).
- Positive attitude, detail and customer-oriented, with good multitasking and organizational ability.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field (preferred).
- 1 year of experience managing social media for a brand or business.
- Proficiency in graphic design or video editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) is a strong plus.
