Position Overview
We are seeking a Social Media Specialist to manage social media platforms and digital engagement strategies for a federal health communication initiative. The Specialist will create compelling, accessible content that amplifies key public health messages and engages diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day social media presence across multiple platforms.
- Create and schedule content, including graphics, videos, and posts.
- Track, analyze, and report on digital engagement metrics.
- Coordinate with media, marketing, and technical staff to align social content with overall campaign goals.
- Support crisis communications and rapid response social media activities.
- Ensure content is Section 508 compliant and accessible.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience managing social media for organizations or campaigns.
- Demonstrated skill in creating digital content.
- Strong understanding of analytics and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of public health issues.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with social media advertising and paid campaigns.
- Familiarity with federal government communication processes.
- Basic graphic design or video editing skills.
