Social Media Strategist (Client Retention)

We turn long-form content into short clips designed to get views on social media.

Our clients are mission-oriented professionals and creators (doctors, lawyers, media hosts, coaches, product sellers). Many are conservative-leaning. We operate with a global contractor team and a high-accountability culture.

Where you come in:

You are the client-facing strategist responsible for retaining clients on our month to month service by helping them get better results (by coming up with plans within the scope of our system to help aid them).

You run calls with them via Zoom/Google, diagnose what’s not working, and give clients clear plans to improve views and performance. You do not manage contractors or the team day-to-day and you do not implement actual edits. You create the strategy and coordinate with our Delivery Manager who executes and ensure it's followed through on.

You'll be provided training on this.

Responsibilities

  • Own client retention through clear strategy, coaching, and expectation-setting
  • Run onboarding and strategy calls (typically 30 minutes)
  • Diagnose performance issues and build simple action plans clients can follow
  • Coach clients on content: hooks, topics, formats, filming guidance, cadence, and series ideas
  • Provide high-level funnel and monetization direction when relevant (no implementation required)
  • Keep clients calm and confident, especially when results lag or issues arise
  • Communicate strategy to the internal team using a clear request format so execution is fast and accurate
  • Flag at-risk accounts early and run “save” conversations before churn happens

Expectations

  • Comfortable leading client calls and handling uncomfortable conversations professionally by providing information and direction.
  • Warm, consultative communication style, but firm and direct when needed
  • Fast thinker and strong problem solver with minimal hand-holding
  • Consistent availability 5 days/week (weekends are light, mostly quick check-ins if urgent)
  • Weekday responsiveness: reply to client messages within 1 hour during business hours
  • Tools: Slack on phone required. Google Drive and Sheets for documentation

Compensation

  • 1099 contractor role
  • $2,000/month for a 30-day ramp period, then $3,500–$4,500/month based on performance and client load
  • Retention-based incentives discussed during hiring.

You have to be good at talking to people while maintaining respectful and direct but firm posture. 90% of this role is talking to people and strategizing, so social media experience is a massive plus.

The main separator for hiring is truly going to be your capacity to talk to people and manage both difficult and positive situations (it's rare there is ever a true disgruntled client, just speaking high level). So just to be quite direct, if you are someone that is more emotional, easily harmed by feedback, or sometimes abrasive comments, this job role is not for you.

Pay: $2,000.00 - $4,500.00 per month
