Social Media Strategist (Part-Time)

Key Responsibilities

  • Research our niche, target audience, and competitors to identify positioning and growth opportunities
  • Develop and maintain a clear social media strategy aligned with brand goals
  • Stay updated on latest trends, algorithm changes, trending audio, and viral content formats across Instagram and TikTok
  • Review platform analytics regularly and adjust strategy based on performance data
  • Build a comprehensive monthly content calendar covering post types, themes, formats, and publishing schedules
  • Balance content pillars โ€” promotional, entertaining, educational, and community-driven โ€” for a healthy content mix
  • Ensure content is planned in advance for a consistent posting cadence
  • Align the calendar with ongoing campaigns, seasonal events, and promotions
  • Write engaging, on-brand captions for all posts, reels, and stories
  • Craft scroll-stopping hooks and clear calls to action tailored to each post's objective
  • Research and apply relevant hashtag strategies to maximize organic reach
  • Adapt tone and style based on platform โ€” conversational on TikTok, polished on Instagram
  • Develop clear content briefs for designers and videographers outlining concept, format, and creative direction
  • Follow up with the creative team to ensure timely content delivery
  • Occasionally visit the location to coordinate shoots and ensure on-ground execution matches the content vision
  • Review content drafts and provide feedback before publishing
  • Coordinate sponsored posts and promotional campaigns
  • Track key metrics โ€” reach, engagement, follower growth, and saves โ€” across all platforms
  • Prepare regular performance reports with actionable recommendations
  • Use data insights to continuously refine content strategy and improve results

Requirements

  • 2 to 3 years of proven experience managing social media for brands, preferably in F&B, cafรฉ, or restaurant space
  • Strong knowledge of Instagram and TikTok strategy, formats, and algorithms
  • Excellent copywriting and caption writing skills with a strong creative voice
  • Experience coordinating with designers and videographers through detailed content briefs
  • Comfortable working with Instagram Insights, TikTok Analytics, and Meta Business Suite
  • Basic proficiency in Canva, CapCut, or similar tools for minor edits
  • Highly organized, self-managed, and able to work independently
  • Portfolio or examples of social media accounts managed is a must
