We are looking for a reliable, strategic, and highly organized Social Media Strategist / Social Media Lead who can take ownership of social media planning, competitor analysis, content strategy, reporting, and execution coordination for multiple client accounts.
This is not a basic posting or scheduling role. The ideal candidate must be able to think strategically, understand client industries, study competitors, identify content opportunities, guide execution resources, and improve social media performance through data-backed recommendations.
The person should be strong in competitor analysis, content planning, client-specific strategy, performance reporting, AI-assisted research, and team coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Strategy
- Create client-specific monthly social media strategies.
- Develop content themes, campaign ideas, and posting directions based on each client’s goals.
- Ensure social media plans are not generic or copy-pasted across clients.
- Recommend content formats such as static posts, carousels, reels, videos, polls, quizzes, testimonials, educational posts, and promotional campaigns.
- Align social media strategy with client industry, audience behavior, brand positioning, and business objectives.
Competitor Analysis
- Conduct detailed competitor research for each assigned client.
- Analyze competitors’ content types, posting frequency, engagement, offers, messaging, creatives, hooks, and audience response.
- Identify what competitors are doing well and where our clients can create better content.
- Prepare competitor analysis summaries with actionable recommendations.
- Use competitor research to improve monthly content calendars and reporting recommendations.
Content Planning & Calendar Management
- Build monthly social media content calendars.
- Coordinate with content writers, graphic designers, video editors, and project managers.
- Review captions, post concepts, creative briefs, and content directions.
- Ensure all content is client-specific, relevant, timely, and strategically aligned.
- Maintain content calendar accuracy and on-time delivery.
Reporting & Performance Analysis
- Review social media performance monthly.
- Track engagement rate, reach, impressions, follower movement, content format performance, and post-level performance.
- Identify what worked, what did not work, and what should be changed next month.
- Add client-specific insights and recommendations to reports.
- Avoid generic reporting language and repeated goals across clients.
Team Coordination
- Coordinate with designers, video editors, content writers, and project managers.
- Ensure tasks are properly assigned, followed up, and completed on time.
- Communicate blockers early.
- Maintain clear task updates in Asana or the company’s project management system.
- Support department discipline, deadlines, and quality control.
AI-Assisted Research & Content Improvement
- Use AI tools responsibly for research, ideation, content variations, competitor analysis, and efficiency.
- Avoid generic AI-generated content.
- Edit and refine AI-assisted output to make it client-specific, accurate, and useful.
- Use AI to improve speed and quality, not to produce low-value content.
Required Skills
- Strong social media strategy experience.
- Excellent competitor analysis skills.
- Strong understanding of engagement, reach, follower growth, and content performance.
- Ability to create client-specific social media plans.
- Strong content judgment and creative direction.
- Good understanding of Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
- Ability to work with designers, writers, video editors, and project managers.
- Strong written communication.
- Strong organizational and deadline-management skills.
- Ability to use AI tools for research, ideation, and content support.
- Ability to prepare clear performance insights and recommendations.
Required Experience
- 3–5 years of social media strategy experience.
- Agency experience is preferred.
- Experience managing multiple client accounts is strongly preferred.
- Experience with service-based businesses such as healthcare, legal, home services, B2B, local businesses, or professional services is a plus.
- Experience creating competitor analysis reports is required.
