Ready to build your portfolio while documenting the launch of Long Island’s next wildlife

destination?

Uncle Tony’s Reptile Zoo is set to become Long Island’s newest wildlife destination, and we are

building a creative team to help document the journey from the ground up.

We’re seeking Social Media Video Editing Interns to work directly with our lead content

creator to produce engaging short-form video content across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

This is a hands-on opportunity for students and aspiring editors who want real-world experience

building a growing brand in wildlife, conservation, and digital media.

This is an unpa!d internship focused on real-world experience, portfolio-building, and mentorship

in digital content creation. Interns will receive published work, a letter of recommendation upon

successful completion, and potential consideration for future paid roles as the brand grows.

Internship Length: 3-6 Months (with option to extend)

Location: Remote (with optional in-person opportunities in Long Island, NY)

Who You Are

● College student or recent graduate interested in marketing, media, or entrepreneurship

● Active on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube with a strong understanding of trends

● Creative with a good sense of pacing and storytelling

● Organized, self-motivated, and deadline-oriented

Bonus Points If You:

● Have experience editing for social media

● Have managed social media accounts or worked with brands

● Excited about wildlife, reptiles, conservation, or documentary-style content

Internship Responsibilities

Remote Interns

● Edit engaging short-form videos for Instagram Reels and TikTok

● Trim and organize raw footage of reptiles, zoo construction, and behind-the-scenes

content

● Add captions, music, graphics, and basic effects to increase engagement

● Repurpose long-form YouTube footage into short clips

● Maintain consistent brand style and formatting

In-Person Interns (Long Island, NY – Optional)

● Assist with filming reptiles and daily zoo development

● Capture construction progress and behind-the-scenes content

● Participate in brainstorming and content planning sessions

● Support content shoots and special events

● Gain hands-on filming experience

Note: In-person interns must be comfortable working around live reptiles.

Qualifications

● Experience with (or willingness to learn) CapCut, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, or

similar software

● Strong understanding of short-form vertical video formatting

● Creative eye for social-first storytelling

● Reliable communication and ability to meet deadlines
