Social Media Video Editor

The Role:

Local Leap is searching for a part-time Social Media Video Editor to edit and produce high-quality videos for platforms like TikTok, Facebook/Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. The ideal candidate has strong editorial judgment, knowledge of social media best practices, and the ability to ensure high-quality output that aligns with our clients' brand and style guidelines.

Job Type:

• Part-Time (approximately 20 hours per week)
• Remote/Work from home
• The ideal candidate is available for in-person staff meetings every Friday in the Allen, TX area.

Requirements

• Proven experience with video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro preferred)
• Comfortable taking ownership of projects from start to finish
• A self-starter who can identify, prioritize, and accomplish tasks independently
• Good storytelling instincts and strong attention to detail
• Must have high-speed internet service

Key Responsibilities:

• Create engaging short-form videos for social media from raw client footage
• Add music, voiceovers, graphics, and effects
• Manage and organize video assets
• Ensure logical sequencing and smooth flow
• Deliver polished, publish-ready content
• Collaborate with our team to generate content ideas and ensure alignment with SEO strategies

Salary:

• $13.00 to $15.00/hour DOE
