About the Role
We are looking for a versatile Social Media Video Editor who can work across AI-assisted videos, B-roll compilations, short-form social content, and basic animations. The ideal candidate knows how to turn raw footage, AI outputs, or stock clips into engaging videos that perform well on TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and paid ads.
You should understand pacing, storytelling, hooks, and modern editing styles used by top creators and brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit high-performing short-form social media videos using a mix of AI clips, B-roll, voiceovers, and stock footage.
- Use AI tools (when needed) such as Runway, Pika, Descript, HeyGen, etc.
- Add captions, motion graphics, transitions, effects, and sound design.
- Create engaging hooks and tighten pacing for maximum retention.
- Edit product videos, talking-head videos, tutorials, and lifestyle clips.
- Build simple animations and text overlays consistent with brand guidelines.
- Maintain a clean asset library for footage, audio, templates, and presets.
- Export content in platform-optimized formats (TikTok, IG Reels, Shorts, Ads).
- Collaborate with marketing and content teams for ideas, scripts, and style direction.
- Stay updated on social media trends and modern editing aesthetics.
Required Skills & Experience
- 1–3+ years of experience in video editing (social media focus preferred).
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar.
- Able to work with AI tools when needed (Runway, Pika, Descript, Synthesia, etc.).
- Skilled in editing B-roll–style videos, lifestyle reels, and storytelling sequences.
- Good understanding of motion graphics, animated text, and transitions.
- Strong grasp of pacing, sound design, and visual storytelling.
- Experience editing for TikTok, IG Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining high-quality output.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Basic 2D motion graphics or template customization in After Effects.
- Experience with 9:16 ad editing for Meta or TikTok Ads Manager.
- Knowledge of color grading, LUTs, and audio cleanup.
- Familiarity with 3D animation or tools like Blender (not required).
