We sell direct-to-consumer and focus heavily on short-form social content across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Our team moves fast, communicates openly, and genuinely cares about producing high-quality content and products.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Social Media Short-Form Video Editor to help us build a high-volume content engine.

You will work directly with our Creative Director, receiving:

• Raw footage
• Direction briefs
• Scripts and on-screen text guidance

You will deliver:

• Fully edited, publish-ready short-form videos optimized for social platforms.

This role starts as freelance with the opportunity to transition to full-time after 30 days based on performance and collaboration.

Types of Content You’ll Edit

You will work across multiple content styles:

Founder Videos

• Scripted, direct-to-consumer, conversion-focused
• Confident, conversational tone (not corporate)

UGC Install Videos

• iPhone-shot installs
• Raw, natural, satisfying edits
• Designed to make viewers think: “I could do that.”

Challenge & Entertainment Content

• High-energy, fast-paced
• MrBeast-style storytelling applied to automotive builds

Cinematic Transformation Montages

• Before-and-after builds
• Split screens
• Camera-tracked callouts
• Music-synced edits
• Scroll-stopping hooks

Customer UGC

• Light polish
• Lower thirds
• Platform formatting
• Fast turnaround

Key Responsibilities

• Edit short-form videos (under 60 seconds) for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
• Develop strong visual hooks in the first 1–2 seconds
• Create engaging, music-synced edits
• Execute clean motion graphics and compositing in After Effects
• Manage high-volume editing workflow (batching system encouraged)
• Organize project files and exports efficiently
• Collaborate closely with Creative Director
• Contribute creative ideas, not just execution

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Requirements

• Social Media expertise (REQUIRED)
• Advanced proficiency in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
• Advanced After Effects skills (REQUIRED)
• Motion graphics
• Masking & rotoscoping
• 2D & 3D camera tracking
• Split-screen compositing
• Dynamic on-screen callouts
• Clean, purposeful design (not template-heavy)

Creative Requirements

• Strong understanding of short-form pacing
• Instinct for scroll-stopping hooks
• Music selection and beat syncing ability
• Clean, intentional text and title design
• Ability to edit different formats without repeating the same style
• Organized project management

Production Volume
Target output at full capacity:

• Edit 40 assets into 50-75 short-form videos per week

We provide clear briefs and are building infrastructure to support high-volume production.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience editing automotive, lifestyle, or DTC product content
• Experience working in high-volume content environments
• Familiarity with brands like Carpe, Dr. Squatch, Dollar Shave Club, Overnight Oats
• Strong creative instincts and ability to pitch ideas
• Cinematic transformation editing style
• Dynamic editing voice across multiple content formats

Hiring Process
