The Social Protection Expert will design, implement, and evaluate social protection policies and programs aimed at improving livelihoods, reducing poverty, and supporting vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities
. Policy & Program Design
· Develop social protection frameworks and strategies.
· Conduct research and policy analysis.
· Align programs with national and international standards.
Stakeholder Engagement
· Collaborate with government, NGOs, and development partners.
· Provide technical guidance and advisory support.
· Facilitate multi-sectoral coordination.
Program Implementation & Monitoring
· Oversee program rollout and ensure effective delivery.
· Monitor program outcomes and beneficiary reach.
· Identify gaps and recommend improvements.
Capacity Building
· Train stakeholders on social protection mechanisms.
· Develop guidelines, manuals, and knowledge materials.
Impact Assessment & Reporting
· Conduct evaluations and socio-economic impact studies.
· Prepare policy briefs, reports, and advocacy documents.
Qualifications & Experience
· Master’s in Social Policy, Development Studies, Public Administration, Economics, or related field.
· 5+ years of experience in social protection or development programs.
· Experience with government or donor-funded projects preferred.
Skills
· Strong understanding of social protection systems (cash transfers, insurance, subsidies, etc.).
· Excellent stakeholder management.
· Strong analytical and policy development skills.
· Excellent writing and presentation abilities.
