Job Title: SOCIAL STUDIES

Department: Secondary (Grades 9 & 10)

Reports To: Principal

Job Type: Full-Time & Offline

Experience Required: 4-8 Years CBSE Experience

Educational Qualification:Masters Degree/DEGREE in the respective subject from a recognized universityB.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory CTET (preferred, not mandatory)

Key Responsibilities:Academic Delivery:Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the curriculum and board standards (CBSE).Foster conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and subject excellence in students.Use innovative teaching methodologies, including digital tools, project-based learning, and differentiated instruction.Curriculum Planning:Develop lesson plans, unit plans, and annual academic calendars.Participate in curriculum enrichment and enhancement activities.Create assessments, worksheets, and projects for internal evaluations.Classroom Management:Maintain a disciplined, safe, and inclusive learning environment.Track student progress, maintain performance records, and provide feedback to parents and guardians.Student Mentoring & Support:Identify learning gaps and provide remediation.Act as a mentor for academic and career guidance.Prepare students for board exams and competitive exams.Professional Development:Participate in training, workshops, and school improvement programs.Collaborate with fellow teachers and academic coordinators for subject planning and integration.Administrative Responsibilities:Maintain records of attendance, lesson plans, academic reports, and assessment data.Contribute to school events, parent-teacher meetings, and other institutional activities.Subject-Specific Skills & Expertise:Social Studies: Deep knowledge of History, Geography, Civics, and Current Affairs, along with analytical and interpretative skills.Key Competencies:Subject matter expertiseEffective communication and interpersonal skillsTechnological proficiency (MS Office, Smart Class, Google Classroom, etc.)Classroom and time managementStudent-centric approach and patienceLeadership and collaboration
