Social Studies Teacher – Middle Section

Job Summary

The Social Studies Teacher for the Middle Section is responsible for teaching Social Studies subjects including History, Geography, and Civics. The teacher will deliver engaging lessons, promote critical thinking, and support students’ academic and personal development while maintaining a positive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver Social Studies lessons according to the prescribed curriculum.
  • Teach core topics such as History, Geography, Civics, and basic social concepts.
  • Prepare assessments, assignments, quizzes, and examinations to evaluate student progress.
  • Maintain discipline and create a supportive and engaging classroom environment.
  • Monitor students’ academic progress and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Maintain records of attendance, grades, and academic performance.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school activities.
  • Coordinate with the Section Head and Academic Coordinator regarding academic planning.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Sciences, History, Geography, Political Science, or a related field.
  • B.Ed. or relevant teaching certification will be preferred.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of teaching experience, preferably at the middle school level.
  • Strong communication, classroom management, and lesson planning skills.
