Social Studies Tutor – Part-Time (In Person)
Long Island Tutoring Service

Long Island Tutoring Service is seeking motivated and enthusiastic Social Studies tutors to work with students in person at our tutoring center. We are currently hiring tutors with some availability weekday afternoons/evenings and weekends.

Subjects and Skills Needed:

• Middle School Social Studies
• U.S. History
• Global History & Geography
• AP World, AP U.S. History, and AP Human Geography

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required (history, education, or related field preferred)
• Strong content knowledge in history and social studies
• Ability to explain concepts clearly and help students analyze texts and write effectively
• Familiarity with Regents and/or AP exam formats is a plus
• Willingness to participate in a screening and training process
